The Apache Falls is hidden within the beautiful Salt River Canyon. Apache Falls is a fantastic trip because of the amount of water flowing over the falls especially after a snow-melt. The Apache Falls is one of a few waterfalls in Arizona that is located in a river not a creek. You can jump from the top of the falls into the river below. Taking a hike upstream from the falls is both very scenic and beautiful. Private Jeep Excursions now offers transportation to these falls. Book this excursion with PJE today!

EASY HIKE

The Apache Falls are very easy to hike to. It is only ¾ of a mile from the parking lot. There is a view of a bridge along this hike.

PERMIT REQUIRED

A hiking permit to visit the falls is required. There are two options to consider:

Option 1: You can purchase for $15 the White Mountain Apache Salt River Canyon Recreation Permit and combine your trip with a hike to Cibecue Falls (currently closed). Purchase this pass online from the tribe’s website.

Option 2: If you plan to only go to the Apache Falls you can purchase the San Carlos permit from the last Circle K in Globe for $10.
