The Apache Falls is hidden within the beautiful Salt River Canyon. Apache Falls is a fantastic trip because of the amount of water flowing over the falls especially after a snow-melt. You can jump from the top of the falls into the river below. Taking a hike upstream from the falls is both very scenic and beautiful.
Fossil Creek is one of two wild and scenic rivers in Arizona. Its 70 degree water and waterfall pours at 20,000 gallons per hour from springs at the bottom of a 1,600 foot deep canyon. Due to its beauty and year-round water, people are drawn to this area and the waterfalls. The lushness of the riparian area strikes a sharp contrast to the dry and sparse desert vegetation that surrounds it.
Bull Pen swimming hole has some of the best cliff jumping and swimming Arizona has to offer. Bull Pen is east of Camp Verde within the beautiful West Clear Creek Wilderness area. One of Arizona’s best cliff jumping spots with perfect water temperature, a nice big clear pool for swimming and a perfect cliff jumping rock that has three different heights for everyone.
